Mothers' Temple

Finding The Mothers' Temple...

It is in the silence of the heart that gives and gives, from one mother to another, the circle lives. In serving one another, we serve our children and ourselves.

Are you like me? Do you crave moments of peace and quiet, free from the following demands..."Look, Mom!"..."Mom, watch!"..."More, Mom!"

Not because you want to be away from your children, but because you want to love your children as much as you know you can.

Every mother needs the time to come back to center and find the peace within that allows for balance in all aspects of her life. In this neutral zone of the heart, the mother's temple, she can restore the calm energy that her children need the most.

Every mother has an infinite supply of love to give, but if she is denied the opportunity to sit in the silence, a damn will form, blocking the love that wants only to flow.

The Mothers' Temple wants to remind you that you can have this freedom and intends to create a circle of mothers in meditation.

One Hour, everyday...

An hour seems like a lot of time, especially if you have young children running around. In fact, if you were to ask a mother if she meditates at all, often you would be met with an immediate laugh.

It seems that most mothers view meditation as a luxury that they can no longer partake of because it would mean taking too much time away from their family. Do you feel this way? Do you know someone else who feels this way?

What I finally realized was that I didn't need to sit in a sacred space, alone, for a great length of time. If I could spread out the moments of inner focus and breathing, I was able to stretch that feeling of peace the length of my day. Through this day long practice of meditation, my temple became me, and my awareness of the Divine within me was present the whole day long.

Yes, an hour is a long time for a mother to be in meditation. But is 4 minutes every hour too long? I think that most mother's would be able to find 4 minutes, every hour, to stop and turn within. Most of us spend an average of 15 waking hours per day.

4 minutes + 15 hours = 60 minutes.

Suddenly that one hour becomes possible, even quite do-able!

Mothers, we need to step outside of ourselves and see, from an external view, how meditation can be the best thing for not only ourselves, but also for our families. When we take the time to replenish that fountain of love within our heart, we will create more room for patience, compassion and joy and, as a result, the quality of time we spend with our children will greatly improve.

A mother's love may be eternal, but the well is sourced from the Divine. Mother's must connect to the DIvine in the silence regulary to ensure that their well does not become stagnant. Of course the well will never run dry, but without the Divine rain, it may not flow as freely.

With meditation, our love will not only be eternal, it will also be strong enough to survive the external illusions of the real world, for our own sake and for the sake of our children.

4 minutes : 15 hours : Everyday = Eternal & Real Love
