My full name is, Tigris Nokomis Joanne Powers. Yes, many names that convey the depth of my journey thus far. It has been a beautiful journey. I'm happy to be here. And I'm happy that you're here as well.
"Earth my body, Water my blood, Air my breath, and Fire my spirit."
These ancient words of a pagan chant, heard under many a moon, ring the sound of truth within my soul. In my spiritual practice, it is the Earth that shows up first, then the Moon, followed by the Stars. I do not need to know my exact location within the Universe. I know that I am held in beauty always and this is enough.
MY SOUL'S PURPOSE
What I do need to know is my soul's purpose, for it is this that determines the Infinite nature of my life. Much of my life, thus far, has been about finding my purpose, though I wasn't always aware that I was searching. Looking back now, it is clear that my purpose was leading me. And that purpose has said out loud, at the top of its voice, "LET YOUR SPIRIT RUN FREE!"
In order to hear this declaration clearly, I had to go about it in reverse. I had
to think about all the moments in my life that brought me the most pain. Looking heavily within those moments of disappointment, I was able to find the deepest desire of my soul. No matter the memory, no matter the pain, one fact was the same...my spirit wanted to be free.
As I became more conscious of this truth, I began to notice how it appeared
in surprising ways in my day to day life. Watching a movie, a particular scene would make me sob uncontrollably, and I would think to myself, what was it about that scene that my spirit could relate to? Sure enough, it was the desire for freedom. To this day, the image of a large heard of wild mustangs running, untamed, across the open land always brings soulful tears to my eyes. For me, this visual has become the image of my Infinite Spirit. It serves as a visual beacon to that which gives my life greater meaning.
I can say with complete confidence and ultimate truth that I am here to bring freedom to the Spirit. Parents of Light is one way that I hope to do just that. Parents of Light manifested while I was pregnant with my daughter. It was her Divine voice that first spoke the truth that I longed to hear. She was the first of many Star Children that have come to share their luminous wisdom. The Star Children and Spirit Child Readings were born, quite literally, with my daughter!
MY BACKGROUND
I received a Bachelor's of Fine Art degree from The University of Michigan, School of Art & Design. I use my creativity in ALL aspects of my life, always.
I believe that creativity is our spiritual lifeblood. In addition to visual art, I now devote much of my time and career to creative expression in the written form. Along with poetry and spiritual writing, I am currently completing my first book for publication. Though, I must admit, it is not my book, it is being written through me by the Spirit Children. This book offers an exciting peek into the journey of the Spirit outside of this realm and beyond the illusions of birth and death.
As a result of my creative nature, I have delved deeply into spiritual and energetic healing. It has been noted that visual artists are often gifted in the art of intuiting, or receiving, information on a more subtle level. I have found this to be true in my own life, as connecting to the etheric and spiritual planes has always been a natural part of my life.
I have studied many forms of energetic healing. I completed the Healing The Light Body course with Alberto Villoldo, Ph.D., which teaches the energy medicine of the Inka lineage. I am a level two Reiki practitioner. I have also completed the Theta Healing course developed by Vianna Stibal. I am an eternal student of Shamanism, as I tip-toe between the worlds and continue to be pleasantly reminded of the magical role that Spirit plays in our lives. It is this magic that continues to inspire me.
I am honored to enjoy life with my angelic husband and our two, luminous children in the most beautiful pocket of the world, known as Topanga Canyon, CA.
FOOD FOR INSPIRATION
I once heard a wise and simple man say, "We don't plant trees to sit in the shade. We plant trees so that our children can sit in the shade." The tree is a great example for humanity. Without a solid foundation in the Earth, and without space for the Spirit to grow, a tree will die. This is what humans must understand. In short, plant a tree...literally and figuratively.
